How many was just saying so because the story gives them "victim points" and thus benefits. (Yeah, they are people worth of compassion anyway, so let's assume that I made the point purely as a methodological observation.)

In any case, this is why feminists keep lying about domestic violence decade after decade. The lies give them political capital in all kinds of women related issues. Lies are like gas for their sexist machine.

Ah, the Portland, Oregon homeless problem.

The actual issue has more to do with the NIMBY population. Most of the homeless population has some intersection of drug, mental, and physical health issues, and then the occasional hipster douche who wants to live something "real" before going back to the trust fund. Most people in Portland don't have a problem helping these people. God knows the city is enough of a destination that other cities in the US will literally give their homeless populations bus tickets to my city.

The problem is that when it comes time to discuss where to actually put facilities, everyone makes it their problem. So instead we get to deal with the fact that you will see lines of homeless people every time you drive down the main drag- Burnside- downtown, because the only aid these people get are locations that are decades-old at this point, things like Portland Rescue Mission.

And yeah, this is purely Charlie Hale trying to get re-elected. He hasn't had the most popular tenure as mayor and the year he was elected was fraught with controversies for other candidates, so it wasn't even that he was necessarily popular.

Portlander here. I'm not surprised. Portland has become a feminist mecca that puts women first consistently and unapologetically.
