Oh right. Two-Thirds of the people who are """"Vampires"""" are women, but there's not enough men engaging in that roleplay for them.

Ok. Makes sense. It's interesting at least. Especially because, as a former gothic literature student (Yeh, yeh. I know.) I can tell you that vampirism is mostly about sexual predation. It's a big metaphor for being a sexual predator. So twice as many women as men feel like going around roleplaying being an archetypical sexual predator. There's a few explanations for that, mostly contradicting eachother.

I'd bet there's probably more male furries though, so we can call that werewolves and be done with it if you can't be bothered to enter the world of roleplaying as non-humans.

The twilight novels probably don't help matters. (Yes. We did have to study the twilight novels. Mostly as a kind of "And now we're going to look at modern gothic literature. oh god, why, what happened, oh sweet jesus, this is awful, make it stop." The twilight novels don't just fucking suck, they suck exponentially more when you actually understand gothic literature.)

Disclaimer: Roleplay however you want. Nobody cares except prudes. Just try not to be weird about it, and remember it's a sex thing. Roleplaying your sex thing with people who aren't into that thing will make people uncomfortable.

Reminds me of the other-kin phenomena I've seen on tumblr. This is only anecdotal, but most of the otherkin I've found happened to be women as well.
