I'm actually very bothered by everyone placing the blame on Twitter's SJW and fembots. It has to be all the femnuts in UCL, staff members, activist groups, all sending threats in terms of funding, impending protests, lawsuits, maybe even bomb threats ( I won't be surprised ), etc, that UCL got bombarded with. It has to be, but UCL is not talking about it.

When faced with a group infamous for sending threats and acting on it, and a scientist who's mellow, who would you rather deal with? I'm pretty certain that is what happened. Don't tell me the Twitter crowd was up in arms, and femnuts in UCL who are the leaders of those watered-down fembots were not acting up on it.

I understand that Nye and Tyson have Star Talk Radio, any TV shows they might have/get, and their jobs to worry about with making a stand, but if the scientific community as a whole or just a majority took a stand against this crap like Dawkins has seemed to than they'd seem as vindictive assholes if they go after only the most public figures.

Unfortunately, there is no context provided; Sir Tim Hunt apologized saying it was intended to be ironic but was taken literally. However, even out of context I don't think a comment like this deserves the punishment levied against him.

Out of context it appears to be a joke in bad taste, but not something that enraged me to gather other females in the STEM fields and raise pitchforks.

This constant gender sensitivity panic that has been caused by the SJW movement is single handedly destroying the scientific community and is in fact detrimental to the equality early feminists fought for.
