Apparently in cities that have a large number of blue collar jobs, it is dominated by males. Is this really news? I don't like how it paints cities like Edmonton and Calgary in a bad light just because they have a lot of jobs in the trades.

This can't be right. I've seen the shrecking feminist mobs at CAFE events and so I KNOW Canada is a living hell for women.

I don't really have any issue with this..."info poster" I guess, and the Canadian Center for Policy Alternatives has a reputation for being a fairly academically rigorous organization. It would be interesting, however, to see the other side of the coin...which cities are the best places to be a man, in the sense of which cities offer the best male-friendly hospital services, parks, social services, etc. and which ones are the most tolerant of the MRM.

I think it would be especially interesting for gay members of the MRM to see something like this which shows which cities in Canada are the most..."male-gay friendly", for lack of a better expression. What I mean by the latter is, which cities offer the best services, employment opportunities, social conditions and/or quality of life for the male population of the LGBT community.

Women in Oshawa are more likely to have completed a degree

As someone who lives and goes to school in Oshawa, the degrees here aren't worth much. The statistic doesnt even make Oshawa a good place to life, its just some feel good fluff. This place is a stain on the GTA.

I'm so confused that a city with industries that are heavy in IT rank lower just because those jobs are traditionally held by men. There's nothing stopping women from getting those jobs, and in many universities there are programs to help women get those jobs ahead of their male classmates... so wouldn't those industries mean that it's better to be a women in those places?

Last time I voted "candidate is a man" isn't on my list of "things I want in a politician." Getting elected to council has nothing to do with gender.

So I live in Edmonton and Ya in the oil rigs and stuff it's mostly men not going to lie but women could just a easily get the same fucking job it's more difficult for them, women probably just want to avoid the fact that on oil rigs and fields drugs are super common and women probably want to not do cocaine. And unless you live in Edmonton you can't say shit about Edmonton like women have the exact same opportunities as men like fuck. Sorry just kinda passionate to the place I was born
