I am asked what I want for Fathers Day, I say "nothing". On the other hand, I don't buy shit for Mothers Day either. Now if I could just offload Christmas.

Love isn't measured by how much money you spend.

I would imagine the absence of flower sales makes up the deficit. Not that there aren't alternatives dads would appreciate (yes, I'm sure some would even appreciate flowers). edit: "aren't"

Good. Keeping materialist holidays in check is a net pluss.

Perhaps because men aren't as materialistic as females. Seriously the shit a woman is willing to go trough just so she can buy that ONE pair of shoes for that ONE occasion

I feel like many people celebrate father's day differently than mothers day.

The same is true for valentine's day. I wonder what Christmas looks like.

Welcome to the rat race of consumerist courtship. Where a woman's value is unlimited but your bank account is not.

Because fathers are seen as sperm donors and a paycheck.

Yep. No child loves their father. Confirmed. Impossible.

That is a subjective opinion. Mother's are baby makers and milk banks is another. Everyone has a different perspective. Besides, love isn't measured in how much money you spend.

Not surprised. But this makes me curious about the amount mothers spend on their children vs. the amount fathers spend for birthdays and holidays, given both parents work.

maybe that's because fathers always leave.
