I think there is some discrimination against men in nursing, but if you want to be a nurse it's not going to be significant enough to stop you. The only legitimate reason for these gender differences in work is that, yes, biology and neurology are real and the differences between the sexes are significant. Men are more interested in working with 'things' and women are more interested in working with people.
