Perhaps this belongs in /r/MensRants. If so, mods please feel free to move it.

Every real job I've interviewed for in the city to which I recently moved hasn't panned out - always somebody with more experience. So since it's spring, and it's warming up, I made the rounds to bars hiring server staff. (I worked at one for ~3.5 years, doubling as bouncer on my days off serving.) For reference, I am 6'1" on a good day, ~200# (think dudebro).

I went to a place, said I was applying for server. When I finally talked to the MOD, she said, "You're a little too...big...to fit in with the serving staff. [Pause] We need security staff though! Can you start Saturday?"

Thoughts, /r/MensRights? My guess is that this was coded language for "you are not a girl", but it could just be "you're a big fucking dude and we could use you better to do crowd control, despite your long experience on the floor."
