Jackson was a bit of an asshole. So if this happens, might as well be him.

not really a mens rights issue. jackson is a controversial figure in US history for essentially what amounts to Native American genocide

He is controversial for ending the first central bank America had. The Fed put him on the $20 as a fuck you to him...

Let's face it: he's controversial for being a crazy motherfucker.

Yeah well maybe once women stop voting male presidents into office, feminists will have a case.

It will probably happen eventually, but not a big deal.

Andrew Jackson pretty much opposed the central banking system we have today and the people that lobbied for it, making profits private and debt public.

I have no idea how he ended up on the 20 to begin with, I can only imagine it was some kind of slight against him a punctuation of the banksters that they got their system in place despite opposition from the likes of Andrew Jackson. He would indeed roll in his grave if he knew his face was on the FIAT currency he so passionately opposed.

However nowdays with so many 20s around some people might get the idea to google that guy and stumble upon his opposition to FIAT currency.

http://www.silverdoctors.com/andrew-jacksons-speech-against-central-banksters-as-true-today-as-in-1832/

The federal reserve act passed in 1913. His face was slapped on the 20 in 1928. When he was put on the 20 it was to insult him after death, a victory cry of the banksters who put an antagonist to their goal on the currency, but nowdays with people running around with the internet in their pocket and a 20 in their wallet the people at the helm of America today prefer it if people do not google Andrew Jackson and stumble upon the linked speech or how he saw central banks.

I don't care that they take Jackson off, but they should replace him with another hugely influential person in american history. A woman shouldn't be chosen just to get a woman on our paper currency. Doing that would be sexist.

Jackson should have been kicked off the 20 years ago. I don't care if they replace him with a woman, I just want his redneck genocidal ass gone.

Jackson also saved everyone in america from slavery.

America's biggest feature should be freedom, not "we don't have slavery!"

Indian Removal Act:

The Indian Removal Act was passed by Congress on May 28, 1830, during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. The law authorized the president to negotiate with Indian tribes in the Southern United States for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands.

The act enjoyed strong support from the non-native peoples of the South, who were eager to gain access to lands inhabited by the Five Civilized Tribes. Christian missionaries, such as Jeremiah Evarts, protested against the law's passage.

Yea he freed every American from the bank.

[–]bakedpotato486 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, that sure lasted long, didn't it?

[–]bassofkramer 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No it didn't but there isn't a reason to lay that on him. He did something very few people in his position were willing to do and almost died because it. Almost every assassination or attempted assassination ever was because of a private central banks loss of control of our country.

What he did with the native Americans was wrong but he also did good and is never recognized for it.
