Only about 24% of women are feminists. try not to say "women" when you mean "feminist". Plenty of women are MRAs.

It's telling. A movement that eliminates debate and free speech is one that realizes it has lost the argument. Feminism depends on censorship and control of the media for its existence. You won't find a feminist board that doesn't censor. (If you do, please tell me btw!!)

And this extends to the corporate media too. Feminists often refuse to be interviewed or go on a show if there's any critics of the movement on it. This is an effective way to prevent any other view but feminism getting discussed.

Well the feminists aren't too happy being a default either because it shines a spotlight on their activities which are pretty nasty. In particular it makes their censorship clear to people.

The comment on the article you posted is perfect -- correlation DOES NOT equal causation, Stats 101. So a rise is feminism and a rise in suicide likely have no causal relationship, but instead are both caused by extraneous societal factors.

r/feminism will instaban anyone that questions feminism, but it's not a default sub.

twox will tolerate free speech somewhat but the mods ban anyone that talk about being banned.

I dunno. Post to kotakuinaction I guess. It might not change anything, but it will definitely piss off the more radical feminists.

I don't see how this is our problem. Moderation policy is set by the moderators of individual subs, not by Reddit. Our sub is not heavily moderated. We don't have any control over how feminists moderate their subs, and none of us are here to ensure that feminists have the right to speak in feminist spaces. This is not a feminist sub.

If you really want a feminist sub that protects free speech, I suggest you be the change and go make one.

If you want to discuss men's issues or gender politics here, you're welcome to do so, but I think you'll find that we are not accommodating to most feminist ideas and hold self-identified feminists responsible for supporting the problematic aspects and history of feminism.

And it more than the moderators it goes all the way up the chain.

Some board are worse than others.

Some boards are islands like MR and KIA and TIA and WIA and a handful of other but they are under threat from the reddit admin and mods from other boards.

Is censorship really a Feminist value to the exclusion of women, or is censorship just toxic femininity that Feminism has cranked up to 11? It seems like there are many women who don't identify as "Feminist" who demand that every public sphere be a safe space from women.

I mean, after 7 months of talking about the problems of feminism to my mother, she turned around the other day and claimed that men talking too loudly about rough sex on the train is "public harassment" of the other passengers. Perhaps women just feel entitled to silence around topics they don't want to here about. I think this is toxic femininity, and toxic feminism has just taken women's natural impulses and run with them.

Women or rather irrational, narcissistic women are used to controlling the discourse. Say something a woman doesn't like? First she's merely offended, then you're a misogynist and when that's not enough suddenly you make her feel uncomfortable and afraid. On Internet forums that translates into being banned for whatever reasons she sees fit.

i was banned from gamerghazi on my very first post, which was not even a repudiation of their ideology. all i did was ask a question. a moderator responded, not answering my question, and simply stating that i was "banned for using the term 'beta-male' non-sarcastically."

i'm not joking here. they literally banned me for using a scientific term which refers to a scientific phenomenon for whose existence there is literally no biological or psychological argument against. the concept of the beta-male is accepted as factually existent by every biologist on the planet, without fail. the overwhelming consensus is that beta-males are real and they certainly exist in EVERY primate species. and yet merely mentioning a scientific fact in the anti-gamergate movement means you are a threat to the ideology.

this shows one important thing. what do feminists consider a threat to their ideology? reality. their beliefs can't be reconciled with reality, so they need to keep their followers ignorant to reality. they can't have dissent, but more than that, they can't have scientific knowledge to succeed. their ideology is inherently opposed to reality, so if people are aware of reality they will not agree with feminism. mentioning reality in feminist circles is a threat because reality and feminism are incompatible.

and surely this should be an obvious red flag. what else shares this in common with feminism? does religion ring any bells?

if feminists take power, evolutionary psychologists will be persecuted, imprisoned, and executed the same way heretical truth-tellers like galileo were. and this should be a wake-up call to every male feminist who values the fucking truth, but it's not. they value their own social value to feminists more than they value the objective truth. men's desperation for female approval is ultimately our second greatest weakness, as a collective group... the first prize being held by men's facade of strength.
