He's not saying to take domestic violence against women any less seriously. He's saying to take domestic violence committed by women, particularly against children, more seriously. Punishing women who beat their husbands in no way serves to diminish punishment for husbands who beat their wives.

Notice how they mixed sources to cherry pick and support their false narrative? The very same report that the politian mentioned, from the Australian institute of criminology, puts ipv homicide at 30% men, not "one out of five" as hate-group white ribbon put it. In any case, how is that even relevant when the article is about societal and police reactions to female perpetrated violence?
