I must have missed the part of the article that made excuses for her. Could someone please quote it for me?

IMO this article was written in the way that MRAs have always wanted. The two victims were referred to as "boys" and not as "children," and the article seemed to speak with an objective, unapologetic tone when describing the would-be killer.

Instead of inventing imaginary slights, why don't we read this article as progress towards our goal of even-handed reporting of female criminals and male victims.
