The solution is to make retirement age proportional to life expectancy for each gender. That way women get the chance to build up the same retirement funds as men and make a fair contribution to what they actually receive.

Can someone from Australia explain this? There is too much jargon and not enough background.

What's superannuation? Any reason to target women specifically with it except feminism/gynocentrism? What's the deal with the stuff about part-time workers at the end?

Is this the superannuation? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superannuation_in_Australia Is it more like a pension or a 401k or something else?

Then do it, why not? It will just encourage companies to hire more men (because they are cheaper). Then feminists would make a """research""" and conclude that the pay gap is stronger than ever.

Emphasis added. So long as this is worded correctly, and it is an employers choice to add additional monies, I don't see the problem.

Since big-gov't types love to use words like allow when they mean forced, I remain skeptical.
