Everyone was so happy and excited, and all they talked about were the new jobs.

No one mentioned that ,as a group, men actually lost jobs.

I worked in a gynocentric environment where it was expected that new hires were going to be girls whether or not male applicants were significantly better or not. This was before I was a MRA but I still had a feeling this was wrong. One time I sat with my peers and boss (all females) to do a review of all the candidates. One applicant was incredibly well suited for the job and I thought (before the meeting) that finally they will actually get another male in the position. As the meeting began all the women began talking about ONLY the female candidates and discussing their strengths and weaknesses. So I interjected by asking about "Jeff?". They all looked at me as if I had the plague. Then one by one they began cutting the guy down. I also noticed they discriminated towards the female candidates as well electing to go with those who appeared to be lesbians (perhaps because my boss was an outspoken lesbian?).

The funny thing is that I followed up on Jeff's career on LinkedIn. He turned out to be successful. I thought what bullshit - we could have brought someone into the organization that would have made a positive impact in the particular area. The girl we ended up hiring ended up having a fight with our boss and 8 months later left.
