So I was getting a new phone the other day and I thought the gal who was helping me in the store was pretty cute. Tight body, cute face, seemed smart (she seemed to be Indian but I'm not 100% sure, and I'm white) I felt like I had nothing to lose so I teased her a bit, got her laughing, challenged her, etc. I felt like I did pretty well for a first impression. Once I was all set up and about ready to leave, I told her I needed one more thing, handed her my old phone, and she typed her number on the dial pad. Then she asked me "What's my name?" This was obviously a shit test and I thought I passed it by pretending not to remember then abruptly saying her name and she giggled. Maybe this was a bit corny but it was all I could think of at the time. Will need to be more prepared for this one in the future. Said goodbye and walked out.

Next day I hit her up with a text "What's my name?" trying to be funny. No reply. Fine, nbd. I gave it one last try and called her after I knew she'd be off work the next evening, which rang for awhile, then she answered. This is more or less how the convo went:

Me: "Hello, is this CarrierX tech support?" Her: "Ummm nooo why is something wrong with your phone?" Me: "Yeah I think there might be" Her: "Ohh rly what's wrong?" Me: "Well I tried to hit up this girl yesterday and I never received a reply back so I thought maybe there's an issue with my texting app. What do you think?".

Brief pause... It took her a couple seconds to get the joke

Her: "Ohhh sry haha I always have tons of unread messages in my messages app" There was noise in the background, I could tell she was with some friends. Her: "Hey sorry I'm at the mall right now can you call me back later?" Me: "Umm when would......" The bitch hung up on me.

I shoot her a text shortly after: "You can call me back if you wanna talk. The ball is in your court now (upside down smiley)" Have not heard anything from her since this went down yesterday.

I'm thinking my SMV, although it's been steadily improving the last six months, must not have been enough to have given her a lasting memory or desire to hang out. I'm about 6'0", shaved head due to MPB, 195 lbs, not fat but not really lean yet, good engineering job. Will continue lifting and improving. Recently ended a 5.5 year LTR because I didn't want to get married and be tied down at 25 years young. I'm not attached to this girl in any way, and realize she's probably a standard flaky thot. I'm just looking for feedback on how I can improve next time and if there's something glaringly obvious that I did wrong. She certainly didn't come across that way when we first interacted so it's weird to me.
