The thing that annoys me most about Marcotte, is that she claims to be a skeptic.

A skeptic would not engage in such "Either you support feminism, or you believe women are inferior" type of reasoning.

I love how multiple times throughout this Marcotte tries to claim that the women holding these signs must be doing so to placate their husbands and make them feel better. Or that they must be part of the MRM (and that the MRM is clearly out to take away women's rights, for that matter).

God, how ignorant is this woman...? >_>

Read that again. Once more please. The writer states that she does not need feminism because she respects all humans, not just women. Marcotte retorts that it would be better to show her respect for all humans if the woman supported an ideology that denies the humanity of half the population. Only one ideology is under discussion: feminism. This implies that Marcotte is referring to feminism. Simply put, Marcotte wrote that feminism denies the humanity of men. That is a massive Freudian slip.

The argument should be, "I don't need feminism because my gender alone does not make me a victim."

The thing that annoys me about the article writer is that they're making the exact same mistakes as the person they're trying to belittle. Almost makes the exercise pointless.
