For most women a "HVM" is a man who is a great long-term partner. So if a man is interested in marriage and having kids and he has some good options to choose from, he's getting a good wife and partner. Depending on whether he's more on a traditional or egalitarian side he gets either a homemaker or a working partner sharing responsibilities with him.

HVMs, pretty much by existing, are the ones who have to do the absolute least to get women. So I don't think your question makes a ton of sense. But maybe I just don't get what you're referring to. What are the specific things men have to do?

You...Get a fulfilling relationship with another person? Like, women are not some commodity, they are people? A relationship with a woman optimally results in a person closer to you than anyone else, whom you share nearly every aspect of your life with. "what do women or men get". Dunno what you personally would get, but you should go out and try to have a relationship, so you may find yourself.

I suppose I consider my man “high value” in that I value him very highly.

He is a caring, supportive, loving partner. He gets the same in return. Romantic relationships can be incredibly fulfilling.
