I read a story about a guy who talked about his experience with women before and after puberty. Before he really women avoided him and they talked behind his back and called him gross before even getting to know him. After puberty women who come up to him in high school and talk about how great he was with no change in his personality. I don't want to say that what the lp is saying is 100% right but it's not 100% wrong either. remember how behavior is between the different genders. The difference between a unstable eccentric man and a quirky girl sometimes just the gender.

I still like the joke about how fifty shades of Gray only worked because he was a rich tall attractive man. It was a shorter unattractive man no one would go to see that movie lol

Exactly, you could have the best personality and it would never be visible, and even if it was, looks are still more valued than personality.

Maybe if you're in work, school, or some kind of hobby, then people around you might know you're a decent person over time. Although at that point you're probably out of the romantic potential zone

I mean... I think the tough part might even be developing a good personality in the first place if you're constantly rejected socially

If the Internet didn't exist and you were forced to meet everyone face to face you'd have something of an argument (although not everyone is as shallow as you tell yourself) but you can use an avatar or whatever online so you literally only have your personality to go on

If you can't ever get a casual conversation going with a woman then you probably don't have a very interesting and charismatic personality.

Don't get me wrong, looks matters a lot, but there are plenty of social settings where anyone can try to talk to women.

Personality matters as anyone. That’s just a fact. But you’re not wrong that for most people the first impression of someone’s appearance is incredibly important and if you’re of lower than average appearance you would have to not only have a great personality but also be someone who is confident and capable in other areas of life that the particular woman cares about. There are plenty of asexual women who aren’t sexually attracted to anyone regardless of the way they look but still find themselves attracted to people for other reasons than appearance.

Now I don't know how ugly I am, I am however quite overweight. I had an opening with a woman once, where we were at a political event. I asked to look at her politics book, and then we started talking. It isn't hard to talk to women.
