The issue is Chad used to be shamed for sex out of wedlock which meant he had to make a choice and stick to it. These days nobody cares about anything other than the right to chop your dick off so the social fabric naturally unravels itself.

The next best option is often being alone which did not historically possible and complicates hour view. Women also rise to the occasion so if the beauty ideal changes, so do women. The “top men’s” standards getting higher doesn’t change who a woman is attracted to which goes for both chads and average guys.

Men can never be like women or change the rules in any fundamental way because at the end of the day, they want and need women more than women need them. It’s unfortunate and I do feel bad for y’all.

Men will always fuck down if given the opportunity. Unless you have some kind of pack mentality (which even that is iffy) you will never see a dude say "you know what, think I'm gonna take one for the team and say no, this guy right here deserves a shot" when given the chance.
