I have no clue what I'm doing anymore. I don't know whether I want advice or just need to vent or both. My wife of 5 years wants a divorce. I understand why, I was not the best at prioritizing my responsibilities. I am an avid gamer and have been since way before I met my wife, it's my hobby, my release. Do I go a little overboard, yes, I acknowledge that. It wasn't as bad until she started witholding sex, stating she has the vagina, and thus all the power. This triggered a snow ball effect I believe, I stopped caring about wooing her and she stopped caring about me. Sprinkle in a whole lot of financial issues and debt, and it's the perfect storm. We have two children together and she has two from a previous marriage. I've treated my step kids as my own since the day we got married as their real father is nowhere to be found. I am still in love with my wife, there is no question in my mind I love this woman. Since she told me she wanted a divorce I have taken a strong hold over myself and have been working hard on myself and my responsibilities as a man and husband and a father. I've been working hard to keep my mind off of divorce and sadness and despair, but it often consumes me. We still live together with our kids and coexist. She confuses the heck out of me though. She will be so mean at times when I am talking to her and she is especially mean when I'm hurting and needing to talk about our situation. Then, when it's her that needs attention or is hurting she comes to me seeking love and affection. I almost feel used. I guess I don't help the situation any because I will give her any and all the attention she asks for now. We have even had sex several times since she has wanted a divorce. I'm at a complete loss at what to do. I want to try and make it work, but she says she is done then does all this. It's too much for me right now. I just can't make sense of it all. I'm sorry for the block of text, it was just flowing stream of consciousness, plus I'm on mobile. Any and all input/advice is appreciated at this point.
