Just had a tough episode so wanted a forum to be seen. My ex was abusive—verbally and physically—and she threatened that if we ever separated she would alienate the kids from me. I filed a DV and divorce action after she choked me in front of my kids and she was criminally charged with aggravated assault.

Now that the divorce is final she’s continuing to carry through with her alienation threat even though we already settled on 50/50 custody. Today was my kid’s birthday but instead of being able to enjoy it I had to deal with my ex’s emotional manipulation and fallout.

It’s really tough. I’m alright but just wanted a forum to vent. Thanks for listening.
