I’m currently considering emigrating once my youngest turns 18.

In my mind 9 years from now , I hope to relinquish my obligations to my children. ( 2 boys)

I truly hope they become independent adults instead of mamas boys.

But I feel the Ex will create a codependency situation. I don’t want to be an unwilling participant in her mind games and controlling behaviour.

So my question is

Do you feel that you will need to provide and be a parent beyond 18 years of age?

Can this realistically be a freedom day for me to rest retire to a sunnier climate abroad and pursue travel on my terms.
