Question for the Florida fathers or other states with similar laws, besides base child support which I know is based off income and overnights. If the Ex is needing to pay for daycare during “her time” (our daughter is a little over 2yrs) am I responsible for helping pay for it? Or because it’s “her time” she’d be the one responsible for organizing and paying for childcare? We’re in the middle of the divorce process and nothing has been signed yet regarding shared expenses, etc. I was the sole breadwinner and she was a SAHM who is now needing to get a job. We were going to agree to split medical, and schooling fees 50/50 as they come up but when I was thinking school I meant if our child is attending a private school, needing a tutor, or other school related expenses not daycare/childcare. I have no problem with paying the proper amount of child support but I don’t think it’s fair to have me pay for daycare on the days when she has our child especially when there’s family willing to watch for free.
