So here’s the deal , I’m going through a divorce currently in the state of New Jersey . My wife filed it twice once in August and then January. She accusing me of domestic abuse which I did my and even my lawyer said that’s what divorce lawyers suggest for clients to claim to have control . Now she wants me to sign a contract stating I’ll pay all the rent where she lives , accusing me of stealing a Mac book which is 10 years old (I didn’t and I have a brand new hp laptop and brought her one last year also). My lawyer told me she can’t request to force me to sign documents that she asking to leave to another states which she put on the contract. Basically lawyer saying I have 2 options , sign the deal and she drops the case or go to court which I’m likely to lose . Even police in the state have told me this state hangs men in cases vs women even if they are lying . Anyone with a similar situation that can possibly guide me.
