To file for alimony you need to use affidavit’s to file, and by fileing for visitation i am filling out an affidavit for her to use to file for alimony, am i wrong? So i am giving her the form she needs to and the verification to support her claim no?

If I file for child visitation does that help my wife get the legal separation before the divorce completes?

Another question, i have a no contact order where i cannot contact my wife. The court split us up and assigned me one car to get to work and her a car for whatever. Both cars are in her name and the registration has expired on the car i am using. I cannot renew the registration of a car in her name. Nor am I allowed to take a loan for a car. Whats the protocol

The legal separation can preserve not only the status of being married, but health insurance, survivor benefits, and rights to inheritance. Not sure of your exact situation, but unless you have something to gain from her from a legal separation divorce is the way.

Legal separation keeps each other from remarriage. Keeps the clock running for alimony.

I don’t see a positive for you for a legal separation
