We have joint legal and physical custody, 50/50 a week at a time, Monday to Monday. Decree states childcare expenses that are necessary for either party to be able to work are to be split according to decree, 67% (me)/ 33% (her).

Ex works from home, I do not. She lives 20 mins in the opposite direction from my job so to drop the kids off with her adds 40 mins+ of driving to my day. She's trying to refuse to pay for child care stating that it's not necessary as she can watch the kids for free. I don't want to give her time during my weeks and frankly I think it's best for the kids to have other kids to interact with and activities to do rather than be cooped up inside all day watching tablets. We have used the Y for summer care for my oldest and my youngest is still in a daycare/preschool, during her weeks my ex has not been taking them to their respective childcare providers.

Now my ex informed the Y that every other week "we" will not be using childcare and to not bill "us". This creates an issue where I have to drop my girls off at her house and it's going to make me late for work.

I have a strong feeling if push comes to shove the court would find in my favor but what does everyone here think about the whole situation?
