Talk to a criminal attorney. Do not talk to the police without first talking to an attorney.

The bad news is you can be arrested and even convicted for this. The only good news is that courts are more aware because this is so common now, and if the courts don’t buy it, it’s bad for her case.

You need to find a way to remain calm. It’s horrible, but it’s really common.

Be very careful in what you write or text her. Don’t be alone with her. Record your calls. It’s time to play defense.

I haven’t had that particularly. However my wife accused me of looking at child porn.

My advice, let the police do an interview and tell them the truth. That’s what I did. I let them look at my phones and computers and when they found nothing they closed the case and that was it.

Oh yes I had this. My ex girlfriend accused me of rape and domestic violence when I’ve ever laid a finger on her. I loved her so much.

However she wanted to keep the money I loaned upon our breakup and threatened to accuse me of rape and DV if I pursued the matter.

Luckily I documented everything in my text msgs and saved it. I got access to her phone and siphoned all the messages between her and her affair partner.

With this evidence that I’m holding on to forever, I did not have to escalate to legal action and managed to retrieve my money from her.

Yes, sadly. My wife accused me of sexually assaulting her to acquire a PFA when I filed the divorce. Although we were estranged for months and I had about 12 pages digital evidence of normal continued conversation ranging from friendly to sexual, up until the day before she filed. It even included her asking to spend time together and to meet. The judge didn’t dismiss it, but it never became criminal either... Ex dropped it herself by the next month.

I learned that the court system is a pure gamble, and no matter how comfortable you feel in your situation, be prepared for the unexpected and to ALWAYS lawyer up.

My wife never said the R words but implied it a lot to our friends when the heat came onto our divorce and her line was the dude she had an affair with was only at my house at 3am because I had been abusing her the night before despite her having a massive family like a mile down the road. No one I know believed it except for her family who were basically put in a position to decide should I believe my daughter/sister is a monster or her soon to be ex husband is a monster

My solicitor said not to worry about it and that it was super common, doesn't make it any less sickening

A nightmare situation!! Best to be covered and record everything from texts, emails and voice conversations (VAR) plus I'd have a video cam on at all times when interacting with her. Never be alone with her if possible and stay away from her drama - it's only going to get worse so take the safety steps and look after yourself, get lawyered up ASAP!!
