Congratulations! I'm one month in to the process. In Tennessee where an uncontested divorce can be done in 60 days. We'll probably hang on until the after the first of the year for tax reasons. But, she's bi-polar and never really know which one is going to show up at any particular time. Meanwhile, I'm going on a couple of trips. Let her experience the big empty house with lots of responsibilities. Might just cool any thoughts she has of keeping the house (and 13 acres).

18 months? I really hope mine doesn't take that long. I'm also in TX but she moved to ID. Luckily we don't have kids together but she is trying to get alimony after only being married for 5 years. She's decided to go the "emotional abuse" route in order to qualify to get the alimony. Hoping she'll just take the deal that I am offering otherwise this is going to be a fight for sure.
