Hi y'all, been lurking for a while and just need to see if I could get some advice.

CONTEXT: My STBXW made false accusations of verbal threats about me back in mid March, any other county around us would've just taken it as an information report and do nothing about it, but unfortunately we were living in a kind of po-dunk county and they constsntly throw the book at people for the smallest things so they can get money. Due to these false accusations, I was arrested right before I got home from work on March 18th. First time I've ever been arrested, squeaky clean record before this. Spent 2 days in jail before my father bailed me out, was given a temporary 2 month restraining order to not be allowed back to my TinyHome (that I fully paid for by myself), and to not harass or threaten my wife, her mother, or her grandmother (they also live on the property, and were able to make a report against me even though they were not present during any argument me and my wife had). My criminal defense lawyer says it's the weakest case he's ever seen and the county has yet to file the charges.

My STBXW took our 9 year old son, and dissapeared over 3 hours away within a week of my arrest, she refused to let him communicate with me, and she barely communicated with my parents (I was using them as proxy for communication under recommendation from my lawyer). April 18th she filed for divorce going with the silver bullet method, accusing me of everything except SA and physical violence (thankfully). Using these false allegations, she was trying to get alimony, child support, full parental rights, and to make it to where I could never see our son again, as well as a majority portion if the minimal assets we had including the TinyHome that I fully paid for. I had to scramble to find a family attorney, and got one through my jobs benefits (I've been a government contractor for about 7.5 years), and gather the evidence proving all her claims were blatant lies. We had the temporary orders hearing April 29th, we started almost 40 minutes late due to my STBXW arguing with her own lawyer because she was unable to articulate what she even wanted other than "i just never want to see or speak to him again" the judge seemed to see right through her bs even without my multiple pages of evidence.

She stated under oath that she would be moving back to the two counties we had proposed for our geographical lock location (the two counties he has spent his entire life in, and where all of his friends and family are) at the end of May/early June after the school year ended. She still has sole custody of him until we have the next hearing, and I had (stupidly) volunteered for supervised visitations with our son to try and put my wife's mind at ease (she had an irrational fear that I would kidnap our son and dissapear with him), but I still left court feeling like I was on top of the world.

And then the bad/annoying shit started up again. My lawyer has been almost completely radio silent, only time I have been able to get ahold of him is when he or his legal assistant emails me for either updated insurance info, or to inform me of the next hearing date. So far I've sent 4 emails in the last two weeks, and 2 phone calls, all have gone unanswered. After 67 days of not being allowed to see my son, and 66 days of not being allowed to communicate with him (all solely at my wifes discretion as there was no court order stating that I couldnt talk to him), I started my supervised visitstion with my son on May 23rd, we've had 3 so far (they've all gone great, and my first visitation was "one of the best I've ever seen" according to the supervisor). The judge gave us the option to have supervised visits on an agreed upon supervisor like my parents, but my STBXW is making me jump through hoops to get to that point, namely wanting me to do anger management classes (not court ordered, but I did find an online course that is court recognized that I am halfway done with), and to also complete several supervised visits at the center before she'll "feel safe enough to allow that". On top of this, the fay before my first visitation my wife told me she is planning on staying over 3 hours away since she was "offered my dream job" even though under oath at the temp orders hearing she said she'd be moving back, so thats why she was temporarily allowed to live in that county outside of the 2 geographical locked counties submitted. Also recently found out she's living with her ex-boyfriend and his wife, and that my STBXW and our son are currently sharing a room together.

Primary issues that I need advice on:

  1. Lawyer is practically impossible to get a response from, and I can't afford another lawyer. He did great at the temporary orders hearing, but everything else seems lackluster. What can I or should I do to get my lawyer to have better communication with me?

  2. I still haven't recieved a copy of the temporary orders even though its been a month since the temporary orders hearing, all I have is a copy of the judges notes for the temporary orders.

  3. My wife is trying to go back on what she said under oath and is trying to remain living over 3 hours away, effectively locking any real parenting time I would have if the court allows it. Would a judge really allow this? Her salary would be almost double what I can currently bring in as I put my own education off for years so she could get her degrees.

  4. She's going to be in town for the week, and I'm frankly worried she might be drawing up something with her lawyer to submit to the court to allow her to remain living over 3 hours away.

  5. I just simply don't know what to do other than what I will list below, so any advice on things I should be gathering or doing would be appreciated.

Things I have done/will be doing:

  1. I will be moving into a 3 bed 2 bath house with my friend and his fiancee in about a week and a half, 1 of the bedrooms is designated my sons room.

  2. Currently going to therapy once a week.

  3. Currently doing an anger management class online that is court recognized.

  4. Actively arriving at my supervised visits early and engaging with my son and the supervisors (they got annoyed with my wife on Saturday cause she was 30 minutes late dropping him off and 15 minutes late picking him up)

  5. Being cordial and respectful in my limited communication with my STBXW in the parenting app.

  6. Haven't missed a day of work since I got bailed out (excluding the temporary orders court date).

  7. I'm clean and sober (and always have been except for the occasional whiskey and cola every few weeks).

  8. I've had the same government contracting job for over 7.5 years.

  9. I have 10-15 people who are currently writing character witness statements on my behalf, mostly comprised of teachers and security officials.
