I know no one can know, but from your experience, what do you think?

Ex filed in August 2022. Temporary motions filed and hearing was in September. Cause set for January, then pushed back to June, then August, now December. It says Setting 1 on case net, but I don't see why we'd have more than one.

We do have two kids and a house, but she moved 180 miles away. I am very likely to get primary custody 70/30 and child support. She is trying to force a sale on the house so I can't have custody. Not gonna happen. I have a backer with money that will help me buy her out (only owned the home for two years so there isn't a lot of equity, and I will get credited for the payments I've been making since she left so I'll get the majority of the house anyway.) Besides, I can always just ask the judge to defer child support payments until she's paid off.

My kids are young, one is starting kindergarten in 2024. I imagine that's when our new custody arrangements will go into affect. Can anyone tell me why there would be more than one hearing when things are relatively cut and dry in this case?
