29m, two young kids

That's it, that's all I wanted to say. I signed the papers today, it took ~4 minutes or so with the attorney. Assuming my STBXW also signs, it should all be finalized soon.

I'm not sure if the emotions have hit me, or when they will, but to be fair we've been separated for a year and a half. I never wanted this divorce, I begged and I pleaded for over a year to resolve things. I've been in therapy, trying to keep my life from unraveling. I hit the gym from time to time. I'm not in great shape, but I've lost enough weight that other people notice. I just started on depression medication this week, so maybe I'm still riding the high from my brain adjusting to it.

But overall, this is just another chapter in our lives, I hope we can work to be cordial and maybe even friends some day. I don't think it'll be any time soon, because I still feel an immense amount of resentment over this nightmare I've been having for over a year and a half (I'm not saying she hasn't also had things hard, because she has).

Anyhow, I'm praying for the best for myself, for her, and everyone on this sub. I've spent countless hours reading, processing, and relating to so many of you on here.

It's going to take me a couple years to recover financially, and I'm bummed going into my 30s with what feels like nothing, but I guess that's the hand I was dealt. We share 50/50 custody, and that's what matters to me the most.

Anyways, time to go watch my little girl play ball in an hour or so, and embrace the awkward between the two of us. I hate that everyone stares, but such is life.
