Just my opinion, but there was absolutely no reason to add your opinion on Fox News, other than to show others your political leanings, which we all could care less about. Or, you just want to start a politcal argument.

The issue is that the other party will be notified and will watch their tongue. However, in many jurisdictions, consent is not needed to record in specific situations, such as domestic violence cases.

Level 1:
Just buy a Redmi or Blackview phone (specific Chinese Android models that don't comply with US/EU laws) as they often have a discreet record button during calls that won't alert the other person. You dont need to go to china to buy such version. I tested them both & can only speak about experience.

Level 2:
A wristwatch recorder, an overlooked option, as many people are unaware that it can record . Its constant presence on your wrist eliminates the need to fumble with a phone or device in your pocket, which can record poor quality noise and may arouse suspicion when started during an argument.

A wristwatch recorder can be activated started by a single press button (shortcut)as if you watched the current time, making it a more covert option.
