My ex filed for divorce after years of me struggling with my mental health.  I guess she finally had enough.  That’s fair.  I took it very poorly given my struggles, and spent a lot of time locked up in hospitals for my own safety over the past 18 months.  Recently though (past 3 months), I felt like I’ve rounded the corner, I’m feeling better than I had in years, and I was ready to move on with my life.  For some backstory, we lived on acreage in a semi-rural area, and awhile back I got a male Great Pyrenees puppy because I was tired of feeding chickens to coyotes.  I raised this little guy from a puppy into the giant 150 pounds of coyote deterrent he became, and loved him dearly.  I got him a girlfriend, they had some litters together.  I got him goats and even more chickens to hang out with, his life was awesome.  After she filed for divorce, I had no where to keep him, and I hated to take him away from his home and all of his animal friends and live in my shitty apartment, so I left him there in what I thought was good hands.  More relevant backstory - I am a veterinarian.  She took him to another vet in town, who allegedly diagnosed him with liver cancer based on bloodwork alone (impossible), and she decided to euthanize him on the spot without giving me a chance to say goodbye to my beloved dog.  Am I in the right for being devastated and beyond angry?  And I’m freaking out - how many times have I euthanized someone else’s beloved dog because their ex had a vendetta against them?!  Please talk me down, am I overreacting?  Or justified for freaking out about this?
