The problem with your statement is that freedom means nothing without a goal. We men are goal oriented, and it actually did make us happy to provide for someone/multiple people as long we get a little bit of appreciation for it. The problem is that most men can't find a goal outside having a partner so they end up in the vicious cycle of loneliness-dating-settling based of a lack of 'good' partners and therefore continuing it

This world is a hard place for both singles and couples, each facing their struggles. I tend to lean towards the single side based on my (life) experiences, but anyone is free to pick their poison.

There is a saying I absolutely love..."Why is divorce so expensive? Because it's worth it". Best not to play the game ever and any man should be telling the younger generations to never marry.

17y together, 12y married and 2mo separated. I can not remember the last time I felt so peaceful and stress free. Loneliness is a women issue, as is boredom. Only boring people get bored. With everything this world has to offer, with some much to study, learn and accomplish; I honestly have no idea how people can seriously talk about being alone or bored.

I was stressed out (even more than I realized) in my marriage. I constantly prioritized her needs or the relationship needs over my own. And for what? To be told what a stack of s&it I was, how I don't take care of her emotional needs, and everything in the relationship is my fault. AND YET, I tell her I want to terminate and she's love bombing me and throwing more sex / sexualy energy at me then even the start of the relationship...

I am just starting to unplug and still have a ton of work to do on myself. But man it feels good to not worry. To not worry if going to bed early will cause drama, or working out too long, or staying up coding, or anything.

I'm not truly free yet (still married, and the love bombing is attractive no lie). But just signed a lease on my own place (been at friends and airbnb), and I am actually super excited about the new place. I mean excited about buying dishes, cookware, new TV, sheets, etc. It's like that's MY place. Our home is really her place, I'm just a ghost in the house. There is nothing there that is me.

Freedom is everything 🙌 Never again can I choose to make myself a slave.

Freedom's luster fades. Some wallpaper over it with hedonism, substance abuse or you name it. Totally understandable. Freedom from the wife is great but freedom from the kids sucks, unless it's small doses according to a good schedule.
