Im on the verge of divorce, my wife has threatened it on and off for a while now, we have a good run then I do something like not put away the dishes and its off agin, I've gotten to the point where I feel like just getting it done would be easiest, its super stressful living one mistake away from divorce waking up if today is the day. Anyway, the advice im looking for is concerning kids, we've got two boys 4.5 and 2 (in November). On one hand I want to suck it up for their sake to have a family but to do that requires them to grow up with a dad that is kowtowed but in the house, I've never picked a fight or raised my voice at her in front of or around them and I never will but im worried instead of them seeing it for what it is, as me trying to keep the peace for their sake, they will see that this is how a husband should be treated and that is the expectation they will have when they're grown and if they find themselves in the same situation they will think "it is what it is" on the other hand is divorce; lost time with them, possible/probable issues that come with divorce, a drawn out process but they will grow up seeing me for the confident outgoing figure/role model I used to be.

I know a lot of blokes her have been stung bad in ugly divorces but as it is currently we would have a fairly amicable divorce, so I guess my main point is, is it better to be a shell for their sake or live for myself (and hopefully theirs) for the next 16yrs, id love to hear from anyone with young kids that have gone through it. sorry for the ramble my heads in a messed up place right now.

cheers fellas
