Probably just a rant.

In my state, I am not allowed to post anything (or tell anyone to post something) on social media concerning the dissolution or my ex-wife. Since she filed for the dissolution, it could be considered harassment.

On the other side, my ex-wife can post anything that she wants (even if it is not true) on social media.

As a result, I have been contacted by old friends from college (10+ years ago) asking if everything was ok.

I have blocked my ex-wife on Facebook because even if she is posting lies to all of our mutual friends and family, I legally can't do anything about it.

My attorney notes that this legal provision is in place to protected victims of abusive marriages. I am not (nor have ever been) an abuser towards anyone or anything.

I could try for libel but I would have to prove that it harmed my reputation (which is difficult unless I could document direct harm because of the posts).

I am just a good guy trying to win more than 10% visitation rights of my 3 kids but am dealing with one-sided social media posts.
