Add up all assets and liabilities, then divide by two. You each get half. Assets include all financial accounts during the marriage including savings, checking, and retirement. Liabilities include all credit card debt, car loans, lines of credit, etc. If she has student debt, that solely goes with her since the degree goes with her.

Community debt if you don’t own any assets. Community property if there are items that are toss-ups.
