Yeah, I guess it's good to get a variety of opinions and advice. But for Fuck's Sake, I am so tried of everything being seen through the lens of narcissism.

YouTube and social media is filled with lawyers, coaches, and therapists who push narcissism as the big bad Boogeyman, and offer advice. None of these people have a Ph.D in clinical psychology, and worse, they encourage people in distressed marriages to conclude and assume they're dealing with a spouse who has a serious mental health problem -- despite no diagnosis.

And what's worse, it's not like this is being presented as a sympathetic problem, e.g.: your spouse suffers from PTSD or depression. No, this is seen as a mental problem whereby the victimizer spouse abuses the poor little victim.

So, to re-cap, we have people with no professional training in psychology making YouTube videos that encourage people already in an emotionally-charged situation to 'diagnose' their spouse with an "illness" that automatically defines abuser and abuse victim. Gee, what could possibly go wrong?
