We reached an agreement in mediation yesterday and I’m shocked. I didn’t expect to for sure. She was adamant about getting alimony but she left my retirement alone and agreed to selling the house and giving me half. I got a deal I can definitely live with and I hope she feels the same. It is nice to be able to start piecing my future together again.

The flip side is that my youngest (13F) seems to be ignoring me now. Her older sister (21) is home from college for spring break and she isn’t talking to me. No idea what caused it but I’m sure their mother had some influence on it. My middle daughter still talks to me but I see her once or twice a week at most.

This shit is the absolute worst. I never wanted to lose my kids as part of this but I don’t know what to do. At least I can start putting my finances back together and move on with my life. Sure hope my kids come around at some point.
