Looking for advice here since I’ve read so much good advice over the last few months in here.

I worked up a deal that I thought was extremely fair to her where she keeps the house with nearly 400k in equity while I take my student loan debt plus loan consolidation debt in the amount of about 100k. I would pay no alimony but would pay pretty much all of the kids bills (youngest is 13). She told me she isn’t signing it.

I am tempted to go straight to trial and skip the mediation. I make about 50k more a year than her but she doesn’t work full time. She could come close to making what I do if she wanted to. I have 120k more in retirement than she does.

She is in no hurry to get this over with since I moved out and am still covering all of the old bills as well as my own. I just want this over with. I am pretty sure she will lose the house if we go to court and skip mediation. I don’t want to waste time with mediation since I offered my best offer. I truly think I will end up better with a judge ruling anyway. It will just upset the kids to lose the house (oldest is out of the house and the 2nd is a year away from college).

Both late 40s and married over 20 years. State is Florida where Desantis just passed a new law capping alimony.

I appreciate all the advice in advance and will try to answer any questions. I already have an attorney that drafted the uncontested agreement and plan to meet with him soon to discuss.
