list of assets (and their worth)
tax records
perhaps a summary of your logs with a timeline?
perhaps a narrative of "What I Want from this Divorce" so it's established early (e.g.: I want shared legal custody of the kids, I want to pay no alimony, I want to keep the house, etc., or THIS is negotiable, but THIS is not negotiable, etc...)
an honest list of your weaknesses and strengths (e.g.: I cheated on my wife, or I've hidden some debt from her. But also: she's an alcoholic, or she's hit the kids and I have proof, etc)
a household budget can help sometimes (e.g.: a quick list of what you pay for rent, food, insurance, etc)
a list of any witnesses you plan to call (e.g.: someone who can testify that they saw your wife drunk and hitting the kids, or some expert that you need)

EDIT: you mentioned that you've been keeping a log for a while. Okay, is this a no-fault divorce? Most divorces today are no-fault. And the name exactly describes it: No one is at fault. If you want to divorce your wife for cause (e.g.: she cheated on you), it's much more difficult and complicated. Figure out which road you're taking.

If you pursue a no-fault divorce (which is easier, faster, cheaper), then all of your complaints are pointless. Remember, no one is at fault. People often forget that fact. They do a no-fault divorce, but THEN, they want to tell the judge how their spouse was an awful, drunk, cheating, lazy, violent drug addict. None of that matters in a no-fault divorce.

So, my point is this: If you're doing a no-fault divorce, don't bother your lawyer with the details of every argument you ever had, hoping the courts will resolve them. The judge won't care. Focus yourself onto the case at hand.
