Sharing this as I think this is so funny.

In a nutshell, she is claiming being in an abusive marriage with a wealthy man and now she is destitute because he left her with nothing.

You have to be cognizant of the subtleties to get the real story of all of this.

  1. Throughout all of this, she cites “leaving”. Not once did she say she filed or asked for the divorce.

  2. She claims her ex alienated her, citing an example where he had his children “call her a whore” because of spaghetti straps.

  3. They live in South Carolina.

Here’s the logical conclusion. Her words were she “left the marriage”. She did. She obviously had an exit affair. The adult children knew it was due to an affair. I’m sure they drew the conclusion and I am sure they made the comments due to their own anger. Dad did not need to point that out. Additionally, it’s obvious her ex husband filed for at-fault divorce. South Carolina law prohibits alimony to spouse’s that commit adultery! South Carolina also allows adultery to factor into the division of assets. Sounds like the judge felt the affair was egregious enough to award her very little of the accumulated wealth. This all leads to another conclusion- the marriage was not bad until she had the affair and was caught.
