I hate that saying as well, but I think conflating it with Nazi mindsets is more of a liability for men than anything.

Nazis wielded broad institutional and legal power and were eager to enact violence against their targets in systematic, fatal processes.

Women, even if they dismiss all men, see themselves as doing so for their own safety - not out of hatred. The problem is that by ostracizing men in this way, and operating in this framework, they can certainly come to hate men.

But they do not wield broad institutional power, nor do they seek violent means to oppress men. They seek and employ social means. This is a critical level of nuance.

Equating regularized misandry with Nazism doesn't strengthen our arguments: it weakens them, and makes us out to be straw men and red herrings.
