The same people will say the "patriarchy" influences every aspect of women's lives. By that logic wouldn't the standards of dress and attractiveness also be influenced by that?

Meh if there are no men there women often dress very differently.

But yes its not just for men but its to one up other women women have a very different type of competition among women but it still involves men do.

The same way men have competitions about women and who is the beter men among men and try and one up each other.

Women have the similar things but in a different formate.

Why men are in ways pushed more in physical and prestigious or financial accolades.

While women much more in social aspects. What beauty and respect and acceptance of the group is a big part off for women.

So each side has there competitions.

The only difference is one os more flat and no nonsense truth.

The other is like a job interview where you just get ghosted from. And a lot of fake kindness and fake ego padding.

This is a pretty stupid argument, because all it really indicates is that there's both a desire for male attention and a resentment for male hetero sexual expression.

Women don't generally dress sexy just for each other. When they do dress sexy, and go out as a group, it's generally so that they can feel better about themselves and gain male attention as a group. Even when there are no men around, they will often post about it in order to get that attention after the fact or project value as each other's "gatekeepers".

Women might also be more accepting of being nude around each other, because nudity among same gender is something that is entirely normalized. It's the same reason why you will often find women laughing at another women touching them, knowing they would react with hostility if a man did it. They're not trying to impress each other, they're just used to it and wouldn't fault other women for looking the way they would fault men.
