I don't think the descriptor you used adds to the message. I am sure you had no ill intent when using it, but it may still be considered offensive by people whom we want to feel welcome around here - including members of aforementioned groups who want to educate themselves on or engage with those who (at least from our pov) advocate for more egalitarian perspectives. I believe that neither the perjorative it was derived from nor the resulting insult properly represent our goals, views, and approach or will faciliate more neutral and open engagement with spaces like this, instead making those we criticize become more defensive or even feel validated in their opposition. Even misandrists should have no doubt that should they acknowledge their issues, we will be happy to support their efforts to change. I understand that exposure to misandry will cause strong emotional reactions, but we should strive to transform it into constructive advocacy for our views, neither of which (advocacy and our views) such insults are part of.

Ugh, one of those pick-me gays. How can you be gay and advocate for violence against men? What?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
