"The Future Is Female" Is Hate Speech

Plain and simple. This slogan should be considered hate and misandrist speech. I was at my bookstore job earlier and among the new card games we had was a girl power one that had this slogan right in the front and even had "female" underlined. I hate this slogan, it doesn't promote equality or harmony, but just the opposite. It's blatantly supremacist and I wonder if people who use it are even aware of it's genocidal origins, written by a radical feminist who proposed exterminating 10% of the global male population? Terrible and hateful slogan, and I'd feel the same way about "the future is male." Both statements promote hate, supremacy and genocide, and both in my book count as hate speech. Yet "the future is female" is seen as socially acceptable when it really shouldn't be at all. It's in the exact same category as the likes of "white power."

Same too with “male tears”. It is a deliberate attempt to get a rise out of a group by bullying them

the funniest part about people who use "male tears" is that they dont realise its also slang for semen

I had to laugh. One of my FB friend's daughters who is a little mentally unstable has had a string of "narcisstic BFs" all her life. She ended up having a kid with one of them and recently separated from him. She has spewed a heap on anti-male stuff on her page for the last month or so after the breakup. She can't see any of the fault lying with her.

Her post today? She just got a new tattoo with "male tears on the rocks" with a female hand holding up a glass.

I bet almost everyone that likes this phrase would be horrified by something like "the future is aryan". Hypocrisy, plan and simple.

It's the exact same. I've often compared feminists and white supremacists, and it's truly frightening and disturbing how much alike the two are when you boil down to it. Thing is, whereas one group is rightfully condemned and scorned, the other is seen as not only socially acceptable, but also empowering and inspirational. Which goes to show how screwed up society has become.

If women are the future, what does that make men? The past? What a godawful thing to tell young boys, that they have nothing to look forward to except their own obsolescence.

Automation has hit men particularly hard, given that the first jobs that get replaced have been and will be manual labour jobs, the ones that are traditionally male gendered. Traditionally female gendered jobs, i.e. service sector and hospitality jobs, will be the last to get replaced. We ought to be thinking of ways to, at the very least, mitigate the human cost of these technological developments. Instead, this slogan sounds like people are celebrating it.

It sure is. It's so concerning how this affects young boys exposed to this day in and day out with how it's hammered so much in society. I remember months ago at my bookstore job on an endcap in the kids' section, there were books on empowerment for girls but no such endcap providing empowering books for boys, and one day there was a small boy no older than maybe 3 or 4 who was there with his mother and I couldn't help but think how sad it was that there were no books out for him to see that he also matters and has hopes and dreams he deserves to have realized and he also has a future. I can only imagine how bad it has to be in schools, where boys for so many years have already been falling behind due to preferential treatment female students have been receiving and continue to.

written by a radical feminist who proposed exterminating 10% of the global male population?

Worse than that. She proposed reducing the male population down to 10% of the total population. So closer to exterminating 89% of the male population.

It's in the exact same category as the likes of "white power."

Thus r/menkampf. The rhetoric is the same, the hate is the same, the social acceptance (at the time) was the same, only the target is different.

Different group that's targeted but the exact same kind of hate and ignorance. No excuse either way for sure.

Also just realized the slight typo I made, I meant to say she proposed reducing the male population to 10%. What can I say, I was both tired and pissed yesterday when I made the original post. This slogan really triggers and enrages me. Same with the stupid "educate your son" meme.

I don't know if it's "hate speech", but it's definitely a statement that has no basis in reality if the person saying it is addicted to a first-world standard of living.

Female workforce participation peaked in the late 1990s. And, yet, we don't have women doing the stressful and/or dirty jobs necessary to have paved roads, clean running water, functional power grids, functional police/firefighting services, functional hospitals, etc.

[–]Skeleton_Warrior[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I reckon it quaifies as hate speech given it's origins. The person who coined it was a radical feminist and she literally suggested for most of the male population to be reduced to 10%.

I just don't see it as some slogan, I see them actively pushing for such a narrative to be created. If we just look at media nowadays, everything hints at the fact that future is female. Most young talented people in media will be shown as Women, most main characters will only have daughters and no sons. Idk the last time any character had a son except Homelander. The way media portrays boys and girls is also very toxic and disappointing. Girls are presented as brave, mature and courageous while boys are portrayed as nothing. We can also see it's trickle down effect in real life where little girls are being given much more attention and validation but little boys receive no spotlight at all. My little brother also recently suffered from this where he practiced a lot for a school band competition but at the last minute my school decided to take a "all girls team" To make a statement. I had made a post about here about how Greta Thunberg could never be a boy, she only got all that attention and support because she was a girl. Do you think a little boy saying all that would get the same mileage, first of all little boys won't even receive such a stage to speak.

Even in College, most of opportunities and attention of teachers is being given to Women. While men are judged harshly or shamed out if they try to do anything , Women feel much more comfortable expressing themselves and doing anything because their mistakes aren't judged that harshly. My college has just given most of the leadership roles to Women deservingly or undeservingly just because they're more outgoing. In job hirings too, companies have started to prefer Women over Men because of bias.

This is incredibly concerning for young boys who are constantly exposed to and bombarded with this anti-male narrative. Being told they're toxic and terrible people just for being male, and especially with how badly boys do in schools and have been for so many years. Even as a kid back in the 90s I saw the favorable and preferred treatment the female students constantly got and how female bullies never properly got reprimanded. I can only imagine how much worse it is now.

Plus in such a future, women and girls who commit wrongdoing are likely to never get any sort of repercussions for what they did. It reminds me of that ridiculously and blatantly discriminatory "educate your son" meme that has "Protect your daughter" crossed out. I mean seriously? A future that's female won't only discriminate against males, it'll completely let off the hook any female wrongdoers and absolve them of accountability even when they've done something wrong that they should own up to.

women are the future. it's time we rule, since men have ruled for forever.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
