It was obviously false.

But also I think Japan and the UK tend to have media that portrays delicate men as appealing so I would like to see the same study done in other countries.

Wow. This is a full circle moment for me. These studies are part of what made me so insecure about how I look as a man (not tall enough, masculine enough, etc), when I read about them years ago.

Iirc what repeat studies found wasn’t that women prefer masculine men when they’re fertile, but that they prefer hanging out with women at other times. The first study was basically picking up that they were horny for men in general.
