(I'm new here, plz don't downvote)

So I'm an 19 year old straight male, and I guess I'd consider myself a feminist. Although I will say, it's pretty natural for me to view women equally, considering the fairly progressive culture I grew up in. But, there were some lingering patriarchal notions that still existed, and still do currently. However, over the past couple years, I've come across some things that seemed to challenge my worldview in a obvious negative way, as well as further drag me into the dehumanizing dilemma of both men and women. I went down a dark, seemingly infinite RedPill, rabbit hole, and was psychologically poisoned by multiple other "cults" such as FemaleDatingStrategy, MGTOW, asktrp, RedPillWomen, Pick-Up Culture, my own family's conservative views of Christianity, etc., etc. It took me quite some time to mostly escape those communities, but even when I was fully indulged in them, I still found it hard to believe everything they claimed was true.

Now that I've learnt to completely abolish those dehumanizing communities' teachings, I feel so much better about myself. I no longer feel the need to "compete" with men. I no longer feel the need (or get insecure) when a more "dominant" dude walks in the room. I no longer see women as objects. Moreover, I've finally figured out what I really want in a potential partner, no longer even slightly based on sexist preferences that I once thought I needed. And that's a very self-explanatory give away, it was an equal partner that I needed all along. A relationship where love and respect is reciprocated equally, and ideally egalitarian (my personal preference).
