Reaching out like that is always a gamble. It can stir up old intense feelings for the other party and then intended boundaries can get blurred and things can get messy or emotional as a result. It sounds like she realized her mistake and is now trying to set a boundary. Just leave it.

Leave it at that. Say Alright and nothing else. Loom up No Contact Rule. It helps you move on, or reconcile with her. Coach Lee on YouTube has a lot of insight into relationships with exes, and helped me immensly. The thing is, dont chase. She expects you to chase. Chasing will only lead to heartbreak, if she's not interested. By not chasing, she will be surprised and intrigued, because she expexts you to chase her.

Honestly, that was a little selfish of her. She must've known that this could easily provoke feelings in you that she'd immediately extinguish again. Which is exactly what happened and what she did next.

Maybe I'm reading into it, and the conversational context really matters, but this line on its own throws some flags with me. It sounds like she's treating you as narcissistic supply.

Jokes aside she seems very insecure ie unsure what she wants and people like that tend to go by how they feel in the moment as opposed to what is good for them long term.

Plus depending on the type of insecure attachment you may have in fact dodged a bullet.

If she’s not playing games and has a man, she probably tried to make him jealous he found out and is now telling her to shut it down which some women like to do.

I had a former friend who told her ex we slept together than told me and said I might be in danger because of what happened and I just laughed and told her that her and her boyfriend are a perfect together because they are both clowns and should work in a circus and that was the end of that friendship because life’s to short to waste it on other peoples immature bullshit unless they pay you.
