It's always good remember:

All propagandists are liars, but not because they hate the truth. In fact, they love the truth, as often as they can get their hands on it. What makes them propagandists is their complete lack of loyalty to the truth. And that makes them extra dangerous, because every time they find even a glimmer of truth that's convenient, they'll use it like a star on the horizon to guide you as far in the wrong direction as they possibly can, until you realize: It wasn't even their star. It was just something bright and shiny they could sell.

Then when you finally break free, and begin the journey back, you'll still find yourself thanking them for the light of someone else's star, as you ignore all the filth on the ground you had to cross just to figure it out.

Self help has been a part of cults and toxic groups for forever.

Look into the yoga cults of the 90s. They were all about getting their members into shape and getting them to be successful. Then once the members were really committed all the terrible sex stuff and abuse starts happening.

When an ideology helps you become physically healthier and financially or personally successful, you're not going to question any of the bad stuff they say and do down the road.

You're going to feel better and happier and associate that with the ideology or group. Then when they hit you with the toxic stuff, you'll trust them because of that association.

The moral of the story is to get your self help from somewhere that doesn't have an ideology to go with it.

As good as all that is the one thing they seem to never talk about is improving your character/personality. It's why so many Red Pill types have such abhorrent shallow personalities

It's difficult to separate what's right and what's wrong. But the rule of thumb is to take in objective advice about health, finance, and ignore anything related to interpersonal relationships and where there are independent variables called "people" in them.

Tbh redpill actually took the role of what fathers or close friends would be, to give genuine life advice. Just my observation. The fact that there is a lack of widespread male role models except those in cinema may contribute to this, because the redpillers literally just worship their guru like those die-hard actor lovers do.

There are TONS of ways to get self-improvement mentoring. Why ever pick the one that chooses to be misogynistic and constantly disregard you as a "low value man".
