Disclaimer: I'm asking about attraction specifically, not compatibility. Even though both concepts can go hand in hand, they are different. Respond by referring to attraction.
MEN
Men, or at least the vast majority of men, sexually desire average women by default.Multiple studies in social science show that most men would say yes to a random woman asking them in public to have sex, even when the women is unattractive. It's not different for gay men, an average-looking or below-looking man can easily match with most gay men on any gay dating app, you can easily test this at home. Men respond to visual stimuli. A personality doesn't make me - a man -sexually attracted to a person so there's no difference between attractive and friendly personality. Looks makes me strongly sexually desire a womam and a good friendship personality makes me stick around if we have sex thus turning my sexual attraction into a more stable romantic attraction.
WOMEN
Women, or at least this is what most women say, state that personality makes them sexually and romantically desire a person. Of course straight and bi women do not find most men they find friendly or consider as friends attractive, thus there must be a difference between friendship personality and sexually/romantically attractive personality if physical factors are not significatively important. What are these differences? Of course feel free to state that you disagree with this premise if you identify more with the typical male sexuality.
